John Williams- Boston Pops
I had the great privilege last night to see John Williams conduct the Boston Pops. It was a great night filled with many of John’s great, classic scores. “Fanfare for Fenway” was a great tribute to the 100th anniversary of Fenway Park. The surprise Spielberg/Lucas medley at the end was a great surprise. “War Horse” and “Tin Tin” were two of his newest film scores. The olympic selections were also a nice feature. However, there was one piece that I was truly unfamiliar with, which may get overlooked in his career. It was entitled “Song for World Peace” and in the world we live in it really struck me as being the most relevant piece of the evening. Take a listen and I hope you all enjoy this piece as much as I do!
